See you so SOON!
The National Board is ecstatic and thrilled to welcome you all to our Convention in Little Rock, Arkansas in just a short 16 days! Alumnae or not, everyone is invited to our Alumnae dinner and DBS Musical Competition on Saturday, June 21st from 5-7 PM at convention. During this dinner, we select a few alumnae to receive the Outstanding Alumnae Award to honor the achievements of DBS alumnae in their community or workplace, including significant career or educational achievements, awards or honors, or significant involvement in collegiate or community organizations, especially philanthropic organizations. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for the Outstanding Alumnae Award, please complete this nomination form.
We will also award the highest honor given to an alumnae: the Legacy Award. This award is given to alumnae who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to Delta Beta Sigma and whose work has left a legacy in the organization. Last year, the Quattlebaum sisters were awarded the Legacy Award. Learn about the contributions of the Quattlebaum’s here.
At convention, we will also be hosting the Charity Recognition Banquet on Friday, June 20th where we will present the total number of funds donated to our national philanthropy, The Ronald McDonald House. These funds are accumulated from our chapters and their hard work in hosting fundraisers throughout the past academic year. Additionally, we also invite you to our Awards Banquet and Ritual Ceremony on Sunday, June 22nd where we will celebrate the achievements of our chapters over the past academic year. We will also host a model ritual ceremony led by a chapter’s executive board. Here is also where we learn more about Delta Beta Sigma’s history and each chapter’s founding through a candlelight ceremony. Alumnae are highly encouraged to attend if they can!
If you would like to attend any of these events or dinners please email our National Treasurer, Ms. Rebecca Pollet, at rebecca.nationaldbs@gmail.com by June 13th. We look forward to seeing you there and are more than ecstatic to hear about your experience in Delta Beta Sigma whether it be years ago or now. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions at nationaldeltabetasigma@gmail.com.
Stay tuned for another newsletter regarding a sneak peak on what our chapters have been up to this past year!
